CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FOR 75TH RANGER VETERANS
To the 75th Ranger Regiment community the Christmas season always carries a special weight because we are reminded of Jesus. Just as Jesus laid down His life for us, many of us are reminded of fallen Rangers who have lived out the words “Greater love has no man than this: to lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). The courage, sacrifice, and unbreakable brotherhood that makes up this Regiment continue to inspire all who understand what it means to serve.
So, as we celebrate the birth of Christ, the very Light who stepped into a dark world, we remember that “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5). Many of you have walked through darkness that few can comprehend, yet you continue to stand as examples of resilience, honor, and quiet strength.
This Christmas, may you find rest in the promise that “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me” (Psalm 28:7). So, whether you are surrounded by family, brothers-in-arms, or holding the line in solitude, may the peace of Christ guard your heart and mind. And as Rangers always lead the way, may you continue to walk boldly into the new year with the confidence of Joshua 1:9, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
I will close with a prayer for you that you can reuse with family and friends this Christmas—
Lord, We thank You for the gift of this season and for the brothers, sisters, family members, and friends who have carried us through every battle both seen and unseen. Bless those we hold close in our hearts this day. Keep them safe, strengthen their spirits, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide our steps, guard our homes, and remind us that Your light is never overcome by darkness. In the Strong Name of Jesus, I pray! Amen.
Merry Christmas, Rangers!
