ALBERT “JITS” HOBAUGH ll
Co-Founder, Jits Publishing, LLC
U.S. Army Ranger | Senior Special Agent (Ret.) | Advocate for Faith-Based Healing
Albert “Jits” Hobaugh II served with A Company, 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment from in 1995 and 1996. Over the course of his career, he served a combined 32 years across multiple branches and agencies, including his final role as a Senior Special Agent and Tactical Operator with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
Jits was medically retired after sustaining multiple concussions throughout his career and a final traumatic brain injury (TBI) during a tactical operation. His service also exposed him to harmful chemicals, leading to head and neck cancer — a diagnosis shared by three of his fellow Special Response Team members.
For eight years following his retirement, Jits faced the ongoing effects of TBI, repetitive concussion, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In 2024, he was selected to participate in an Ibogaine study at the University of Texas, focused on healing the invisible wounds of Special Operations personnel.
While many of his physical symptoms remained, the treatment opened a mental and spiritual space that he chose to fill by deepening his relationship with Jesus Christ. He attributes this faith-based transformation to becoming PTSD-symptom free — a powerful testimony he shares openly to inspire others.
Jits later collaborated with Freedom Sings USA, a non-profit that partners with veterans and Gold Star Families to create songs honoring their experiences. Together, they produced “22 More,” a song written for Rangers, veterans, and first responders suffering from similar struggles. The song is freely shared for private listening, events, and outreach efforts to bring hope and awareness to those in need.
In 2024, Jits partnered with Ranger Evan Richards and two colleagues at Terminus Management Technologies to co-found Jits Publishing, LLC — a publishing company built by Rangers, for Rangers. The organization blends storytelling, mentorship, and innovative technology (currently under development) to create a trusted space for veterans, law enforcement officers, and first responders to share their stories.
Jits Publishing will officially release its first title, Forced to Fight, written by Ranger Evan Richards, on Veterans Day, November 11, 2025. Several additional works are already in development by former Rangers, Special Operators, and retired law enforcement officers.
