PHILLIP HOLT

Phillip Holt enlisted in 1995 and served as a Forward Observer in B Co. 3/75th Ranger Regiment until 1998. His National Guard Brigade deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in October of 2003. Holt served as a SAW gunner in Southeast Baghdad with Charlie Co. 1-161 Infantry.

Lt. Holt graduated OCS, the Field Artillery Officer Course and then volunteered to augment the next rotation to Afghanistan. He was the Fire Support Officer, the Executive Officer and assumed command of Demon Co. 3/172 Infantry in the Shah-i-Kot Valley.

Captain Holt retired out of 9th MSC’s Civil Affairs Brigade at Ft. Shafter, Hawaii. He holds a master’s degree from Hawaii Pacific University. As a Dept of the Army civilian, Phillip served as the Lead Nation Analyst for US Army Pacific Command until 2024.
