JOE MUCCIA

Joe Muccia, GySgt, USMC (Ret.), served in a variety of headquarters, communication, infantry, and force reconnaissance units in a career spanning 20 years. He participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, during which he was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device, the Combat Action Ribbon, and a Presidential Unit Citation.

After his retirement from the Marines, Joe completed his Bachelor of Science in History. Since then, he has contributed to numerous books and publications focused on World War II, Vietnam, Operation Urgent Fury (Grenada, 1983), Operation Just Cause (Panama, 1989), and the Global War on Terror. He currently lives with his wife and children in Virginia.

In mid-July 2013, Joe founded his own company, Military History Research & Publishing (MHRP) LLC. To date, MHRP has assisted countless authors, researchers, and veteran families with their research projects, books, and magazines.
