JC GLICK

LTC (Ret) JC Glick serves as the National Director of Merging Vets and Players (MVP), a non-profit founded by FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer and former Green Beret and Seattle Seahawk Nate Boyer, established to empower combat veterans and former professional athletes by connecting them after the uniform comes off; providing them with a new team to assist with transition, promote personal development, and show them they are never alone.  JC oversees program management, strategy, partnerships, and development.  Before he joined the team at Merging Vets and Players, he served as a leadership consultant to Fortune 500 Companies and professional sports teams in the NFL and NBA to assist with leadership development and culture. 

Prior to retiring, JC served in the U.S. Army as an infantry officer for 20 years, primarily in special operations and special missions units with more than 11 combat tours.

His military assignments include assignments with the 75th Ranger Regiment, the Asymmetric Warfare Group, the 82nd Airborne Division, the first Stryker Brigade, and Battalion Command in the 39th Infantry Regiment.  His final assignment was the Director of Victory College where he led the Master Resiliency Training Program, the U.S. Army Physical Fitness School, and the TRADOC Leadership Development Course.

JC is the co- author of two books.  His first book, with a foreword by GEN(R) Stanley McChrystal, the best-selling book titled "A Light in the Darkness: Leadership Development for the Unknown”, has been implemented by major corporations including the NFL and Microsoft, and endorsed by leaders in the field of education, business and the military.  His latest book, with Dr. Alice Atalanta is titled “Meditations of an Army Ranger: A Warrior Philosophy for Everyone”, is a thought-provoking, groundbreaking philosophy book, that aims to wrestle philosophy away from academics, and make it accessible to everyone. 

Known for his innovative and unconventional thoughts on education, leadership and resiliency in the private and public sectors, JC is considered a thought leader in adaptive and proactive programs of instruction.  His concentration centers on the development of leadership behaviors and values suited to dynamic environments and situations of ambiguity and adversity. JC recently developed the "Prodromos Developmental Model", a capacity-building system designed to develop people and leaders for the future, which is outlined in his books. His methods have been featured in Forbes Magazine and the Huffington Post and his work has been referenced in Forbes, Inc. and Entrepreneur.

A partner at Prodromos Leadership, he frequently advises organizations at the strategic, operational, team and individual levels. He has a strong background in leadership development, executive personnel assessment and selection, strategy, coaching, counseling and developing innovative solutions to complex problems. 

He holds a master’s degree from the Naval War College and was a Senior Fellow in the Service Chief’s Fellowship at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

 He has earned 3 Bronze Stars, 3 Meritorious Service Medals, a Joint Commendation Medal, and the Order of Saint Maurice.  He is also a Liberty Fellow, a part of The Aspen Institute and the Aspen Global Leadership Network and a member of the University of Rhode Island ROTC Hall of Fame, and a Distinguished Member of the the 39th Infantry Regiment.
